C.C. Randle

My name is C.C. Randle. I conducted the majority of my English studies at the University of Oxford in England, studying Shakespeare and Modern Literature, an experience that shaped how I see character, dialogue, and human motivation. Oxford gave me the analytical foundation that would later evolve into visual storytelling on screen.

For 15 years, I taught high school English, Film, and Media Studies, guiding students through the same stories that once inspired me. Teaching honed my ability to see meaning beneath the surface, a skill that now fuels how I write, direct, and design.

I completed my Master of Fine Arts in Film and Television Directing from DePaul University in 2023. My thesis film, A Mind of Its Own©, about a Black woman with a talking afro, premiered at the Gene Siskel Film Center in Chicago that same year.

When I’m not making films, I’m writing books. My first, Passing Notes™©, is a teaching memoir that uses pop culture as a conduit for workplace hierarchy and creative resistance and will be released Spring 2026. My future feature film is a narrative project that explores the dwindling American middle class and the quiet unraveling of identity within it.
